More than 25 technology solutions providers, system integrators and content management firms announced their commitment to create the Marlin Partner Program, a new association dedicated to digital content interoperability efforts based on the Marlin open-standard DRM technology.

Members of the MPP will focus on delivering solutions that enable service providers and consumer device manufacturers to make protected digital content interoperable between mobile phones, set-top boxes, portable media players and PCs--all solutions will be based on Marlin, which promises unique capabilities to manage relationships between consumers' content, devices and network services. Marlin interoperates with Open Mobile Alliance DRM.

Marlin Partner Program member firms will work with mobile, broadband, broadcast and IPTV providers as well as device makers to deliver various technical components to enable Marlin solutions and integration services. Members of the MPP include 24-7 Entertainment, Cloakware, CoreMedia, CoreTrust, DigiCAPS, Digital Keystone, dprotech, EGC&C, Fasoo, Fujitsu, Hitachi, icube, INKA Entworks, MarkAny, MPS Broadband, SafeNet, SecureMedia, Tata Elxsi, Teruten, Triple IT, Valups, Verimatrix, VIT Infotech, Wisembed and Wyplay.
