ANS-The Mobile Movie Network to Launch

Application service provider Ettix Software Solutions and programming distributor PathFinder World Video announced the launch of ANS-The Mobile Movie Network, a subscription-based mobile video service optimized for iPhones, Windows Mobile-based smartphones and all 3G handsets regardless of operator.

Delivered via the Tulix Mobile software and hosting platform, ANS-The Mobile Movie Network will feature original content targeted to African-American audiences; at launch, the lineup will feature 30 new mobile titles, with promises to add 15 hours of new content each subsequent week.

"ANS Mobile is a fresh new way for our network to reach our viewers," said ANS-TV president Yusef Muhammad in a prepared statement. "The 18-to-34 demographic are abandoning traditional television and seeking new entertainment destinations. ANS Mobile will connect with young viewers through vibrant and accordant programming made just for them. Our programming comes from the talented producers of landmark shows like The Jamie Foxx Show, The Parkers, Sister Sister and The Steve Harvey Show. It's ANS, 'Afresh New Station.'"

Louis Lewow, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Ettix Software Solutions, welcomes ANS-TV and PathFinder as production partners. "We at Ettix have long believed that we possess a key platform by which content producers/providers can move to conquer and control the "Third Screen" or cell phone screen. With ANS-TV and PathFinder, we found the perfect aggregator of products aimed at the most appropriate demographic audience."

ANS Mobile will start with 30 new titles for viewing. Their plan is to add 15 new hours of mobile content every week. This would make their content offering one of the most robust in the industry. [FierceMobileContent/FierceWireless]
